Donation Refund Request

We are grateful for your donation and support which has been the reason for Like A Dog Foundation’s continued success in community animal welfare. The Like A Dog Foundation, a registered Section 8 Non-Profit Company with the S8 Certification No. 120211, with its registered office at 357/1/12/1 Prince Anwar Shah Road, Kolkata - 700068, West Bengal, India, has implemented a donation refund policy aimed at ensuring a fair and transparent process for handling refund requests pertaining to donations, especially with the increasing prevalence of digital payments. Refunds are only granted in exceptional circumstances, within 30 days of the donation date, and are returned using the original method of payment. The foundation anticipates that all donors will exercise prudence and thoroughness when making contributions. Acknowledging the potential for inadvertent donations or changes of intent by donors, the Like A Dog Foundation pledges to assess refund requests and make reasonable efforts to facilitate the refund process. In doing so, the foundation may request clarification and rationale from the donor, necessitating additional verification and documentation to validate the donation and the request for a refund on the same.

Like A Dog Foundation is not obliged to make any refunds, and may in its discretion, decline any requests for refunds, particularly if a tax exemption certificate has already been issued.

The refund process may take 7 to 30 working days depending on the availability of the information from third parties such as Payment Gateway, Banks, etc. through which transaction is done.

If you wish to apply for a refund of your donation, you must contact us via email on bark@likeadog.org within 7 (seven) days from the date on which you made the donation. It must also include all the information relating to the donation such as Date of Donation, Amount of Donation, Name of Donor, Mode of Payment and the Transaction ID associated with your donation.
